Charles L. Maddy

Charles L. Maddy, 87, formerly of Grove City and Seminole, FL, a resident at Wesbury United Methodist Community for the past 10 years, died Saturday, October 20, 1984, at Wesbury's Grace Nursing Center following a period of failing health.

He was born at Perrysburg, OH, September 6, 1897, a son of Charles and Mabel Hilton Maddy.  He married Virginia Maize March 21, 1921.  She died May 5, 1977.

He retired in 1962 as sales manager for Jesse Stewart Co., Pittsburgh.

Survivors include two sons, Richard M. Maddy of Chautauqua, NY and Kenneth H. Maddy of Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
