Charles L. Pardee

Charles L. Pardee, 82, of 6939 Mike Wood Blvd., Conneaut Lake, died Wednesday May 15, 2002, at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, after an extended illness.

He was born in Guys Mills, May 18, 1919, a son of Rolla H. & Gracia M. Graham Pardee.  He married Virginia Bailey Sept. 27, 1949, and she survives.

He had been employed as an Electroplater for ABEX retiring in 1982, after 35 years of service.

He was a veteran of World War II with the U. S. Coast Guard, having served in the Philippines.  He enjoyed camping, RV’ing, 15yrs. as a winter resident of Florida, playing games with family members, and crossword puzzles.  He was affiliated with Faith United Methodist Church, Geneva.

Survivors in addition to his wife of 52 years, include 1 stepdaughter, Kay Harned and her husband Richard of Conneaut Lake; 2 stepsons, Rev. Frederick Bailey and his wife Anne Louise, of Lee Center, NY and Gene Bailey and his wife Louise of Conneaut Lake; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Marian Trace and her husband Fred of Meadville, and 1 brother, Arden Pardee and his wife Margaret of Guys Mills.

He was preceded in death by 1 stepdaughter, Elaine Loy; 2 sisters, Thelma Smith, and Alice Moore, and 3 brothers, Victor, Chester, and Richard Pardee.

Calling hours will be Today from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home Inc., 581 Chestnut St. where funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Alice McClymonds, pastor of Faith United Methodist Church, Geneva, officiating.

Burial, with full Military Honors by VFW Post 2006, will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church Building Fund, 15439 State Highway 285, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
