Charles Mcdonald

Charles McDonald, 64, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 26, 1956 in Merced, CA, a son of the late Cottrell and Pearl McGarrity McDonald.  He married Sherry Franklin July 18, 1978.

Charles worked for the Forestry Service in New Mexico, at Domino’s Pizza, and as a laborer in the construction industry.  He enjoyed fishing and was a former member of the Meadville Family YMCA where he enjoyed weightlifting.  He received several bench press awards at various competitions.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Sherry, include four children, Charlene Jones (Cameron) of Memphis, TN, Charles McDonald (Ashley) of Meadville, Sharmaine Leach (Bryon) of Meadville, and Cottrell McDonald of Meadville; six grandchildren, Charlize Phillips, Azlynne McDonald, Avin McDonald, Demetris McDonald, Amari Leach, and Dezmond Leach; three sisters, Cherry Griffin (Alvin), Diane McDonald, and Patricia Mabon, all of California; three brothers, Cottrell McDonald of North Carolina, Lindsey McDonald (Kinnia) of California, and David Troy of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Troy, Jr. and a sister, Jeanice Bingham.

Services are private.
