Chuck, as his friends and family affectionately referred to him, was committed to support of the U.S. military; particularly Veterans of Vietnam. He actively served in Vietnam in the U.S. Navy, stationed out of California from 1964-1968. Chuck supported his fellow veterans long after his active duty so it could not have been more fitting that he passed away on July 4th.
Chuck attended the University of Pittsburgh after returning home from the Navy and worked as an electrician at Singer Heatrex and Advanced Cast for many years.
Chuck enjoyed everyone’s company, and was well-known as a happy, content, and easy-going guy. Always generous, it was not uncommon to see him picking up someone’s tab when dining out. He truly cherished time with family. He was our family’s genealogist; networking with family in the U.S. and England. As a Ham Radio operator, call letters N3WTY, he assisted in providing weather alerts for the community. He and Carla enjoyed line dancing, and he thoroughly enjoyed his friends in Bonita Springs.
Chuck believed that only family, honesty, integrity, and hard work matter. These values are his legacy that he instilled in his children and now his grandchildren.
