Charles Ordwein

Charles Ordwein, 75, formerly of Blooming Valley, died Tuesday, February 17, 1970, at Spencer Hospital after a months illness.  For the past 15 months, he and his wife had been residents of the Crawford County Home.

He was born at Towanda, PA, September 21, 1894, a son of Philip and Agnes Cawley Ordwein.  He retired in 1959 as a maintenance man at the NW PA Bank.  He previously was employed by the American Viscose Corp.  Mr. Ordwein was a member of Meadville Elks Lodge.

Surviving, besides his widow, is a half sister, Mrs. Marie Tipton of Richmond, VA.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
