Charles P. Shalansky

Charles P. Shalansky, 80, of Meadville, PA, formerly of Huntsville died August 14, 2013.

Born May 18, 1933, a son of Charles P. Axelsen, Sr. and Ida F. Shalansky.  He married Nancy Morris Feb. 17, 1961.

Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran serving for 25 years including duty in Vietnam, Germany and Korea.  He subsequently worked at June Hughes Arts and Crafts, Redstone Arsenal.

Survivors: wife Nancy of Meadville; daughter, Katherine Christ of Meadville; 3 grandchildren; a great-grandson; a half-brother; and a cousin.

Services private with inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery.
