Charles R. Peterman, 76, of Meadville, died Tuesday afternoon at City Hospital. He had suffered a stroke Friday morning at the home of a son, Charles B. Peterman of Conneautville.
He spent his early life in the Pittsburgh area and lived at various time in the Pittsburgh and Crawford County communities. He lived at Wayland from 1928 to 1936.
He was a member of First Christian Church and was a past master of Blooming Valley Grange.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Fred Ervin of Richmond Township; three sons, Charles B. and William G., both of Conneautville and Robert of Tucson, AZ; twenty-one grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Harry Peterman of Washington, PA and William W. Peterman of Mt. Royal; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Scheller of North Side Pittsburgh and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Clara Meacham Peterman, died August 18 of this year.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Wayland.
