Charles W. Gable

Charles W. Gable, 94, of 964 D Street, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the Golden Living Center, Meadville.

He was born February 17, 1914 in Vernon Twp., Crawford Co., a son of Delbert and Sarah Brady Gable.

He worked as a handyman in the Meadville area and enjoyed bingo and fishing.

Survivors, include: four sisters, Margaret Benak of Meadville, Annabelle Gable of Meadville, Dorothy Hargenrater and her husband Don of Guys Mills and Ethel Luzier of Guys Mills; two brothers, Edward Gable and his wife Lucille of Meadville and Arthur Gable and his wife Nancy of Meadville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Popovich and Katherine Clark and three brothers, Albert Gable, James Gable and Harold Gable.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 2-3 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville

The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Gerald H. Murphy, officiating.

Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
