Charles W. Meddock

Charles W. Meddock, 90, who had resided at the United Methodist Nursing Home since September 1969, died at the home Friday, August 15, 1975, after a sudden illness.

He was born at Scotch Hill, Clarion County, September 25, 1884, a son of Oliver and Mary Dale Meddock.  On October 5, 1960, he married Eva Kelly who died April 28, 1974.  Mr. Meddock was a former barber in Springboro and Oil City.  He was a member of the Tylersburg United Methodist Church at Oil City.  He was president of the Home Council at the nursing home and had been voted outstanding senior citizen at the home.

Survivors include two brothers, Elwood J. of Meadville and Harry R. of Oil City.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Spring Cemetery, Spring Township.
