Charles Waid

Charles (Chuck) Waid, 44, formerly of Guys Mills, a resident of Hayfield Township, died Sunday, April 12, 1981, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, after an extended illness. He was born at Guys Mills September 17, 1936, a son of Earl and Marian Byham Waid. He married Mary Ellen Lenhart. He was employed in the leasing department of Weaver Oil and Gas Co., then in the sign department of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. For 10 years, he was owner and operator of Waid's Grocery Store at Black Ash. He drove a school bus for Penncrest School District, then took disability retirement and worked part-time as a service attendent at Hart-Eiseman Service Station. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Theresa Waid at home; three stepsons, Howard Crow of Norfolk, VA, Jay Crow of Abilene, TX and Jeffrey Crow of Merinda, MS; his father, a patient at Mead Nursing Home, and his mother, of Guys Mills; four brothers, Norman E. and David, both of Guys Mills, Howard of Cleveland and Russell of Parma Heights, OH. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alex and Leverette. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Services Past Services
