Cheri Diane Lake

February 5, 1947 — August 2, 2003

Cheri Diane Lake, 56, of 23738 Cannon Hollow Road, Saegertown, died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at the Crawford County Care Center.

She was born in Meadville, February 5, 1947 a daughter of Harold I. and Ruth Henderson Braymer.  She married John C. “Charlie” Lake November 22, 1969 and he survives.

She worked for 15 years as the manager of the BP Station at the corner of Arch and Park Avenue in Meadville.

She was a 1965 graduate of Meadville High School and she was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.  She was past Worthy Advisor, past Mother Advisor of Meadville Assembly #12, served on the Credentials & Elections Committee, and served as Ritualistic Perfection Director and Grand Deputy of District #3 of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.  She was a member and held various offices including past Worthy Matron and past District Deputy of District 1-B, Golden Crown Chapter #44, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member and held various offices including past Royal Matron and past District Deputy Grand Royal Matron District G of Farrell Court #120, Order of the Amaranth.  She was also a member of Selket Temple #140, Daughters of the Nile; Lotus Court #33, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America and the International Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include: two daughters, Marcia Diane Allio and her husband Christopher of Meadville and Michelle Ann Stutz and her husband Patrick of Timonium, MD; her parents, Harold and Ruth Braymer of Meadville; a brother, Frederick Braymer of Seattle, WA and two grandchildren, Joshua Allio and Hailey Allio.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Braymer.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with an Eastern Star Service at 7:30 p.m.

The memorial service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dale Adams, Pastor of Donation Hill Bible Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 448 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
