Chloe Ethel Boyle

Chloe Ethel Boyle, 86, a former Meadville resident who had worked at Talon and the Crawford Store, died Tuesday, December 14, 1993, at Community Hospital, Roanoke, VA, after an extended illness.

She was born February 23, 1907, in Ceoburn, VA, a daughter of Cyrus M. and Priscilla Greer Holbrook.  She married Robert Leon Boyle on September 15, 1938.  He died January 18, 1977.

She was a homemaker, and she worked for Talon, Inc. for 13 years.  She also worked for four years at the Crawford Store.

She was a member of the Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church of Roanoke, VA.

Survivors include two sons, Ernest M. Boyle of Arden, NC and Gordon R. Boyle of Salem, VA; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
