Christine K. Adsit

Christine K. Adsit, 95, of Conneaut Lake, died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home.

She was born in Greenwood Township, Crawford County, December 25, 1909 a daughter of Ralph and Pearl Williams Klinginsmith.  She married William M. Adsit, June 1931 in Westfield, NY and he preceded her  in death July 26, 1976.

She owned and operated the Geneva General Store and Post Office for 20 years and she previously worked at the former Hookless Fastener Co. in Meadville.  She was a member of the former Geneva United Brethren Church and the Conneaut Lake Historical Society.  She enjoyed wintering in Florida, being with her family and her grandchildren's activities in school.

Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Litwiler (Richard) of Conneaut Lake; one son, Gordon Adsit (Mary) of Ft. Meade, FL; four grandsons, Tracy Litwiler (Diane) of Harmonsburg, Kevin Litwiler (Mary) of Westminster, CO, Craig Litwiler (Amy) of Big Flats, NY and Mary E. Adsit of Geneva; an aunt, Ruth Williams of Conneaut Lake and several cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Geneva Memorial Gardens.
