Christopher M. Turner

Christopher M. Turner, 53 of Meadville, passed away on October 28, 2022, at UPMC Hamot in Erie. Chris was born in New Zealand on December 1, 1968, to Michael Carlyle and Veronica (Turner) Frankiewicz. He was a 1988 graduate of Maplewood High School. Chris proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1988-1992 during Operation Desert Storm. He was employed by Veterans Affairs in Erie and was very involved in community outreach.

Chris is survived by his daughter; Kendra (Karl) Stinglin of Meadville, grandchildren; Mya, Logan, and Madilyn Stinglin, his parents; Michael and Veronica, twin brother; Sean Turner, a half-sister; Shelly Blomfield, two nephews; Mark & Shea, two nieces; Georgia & Brittany, all of New Zealand, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville, where visitation will be from 4 pm – 6 pm on Tuesday, November 1. A funeral service & military honors will follow visitation at 6 pm at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Chris’s name to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
