Clara V. (Hygus) Kightlinger

Mrs. Clara V. (Hygus) Kightlinger, 97, formerly of Meadville, died Tuesday, January 21, 1969, at Smith Institute, Saegertown, after a period of failing health.  Mrs. Kightlinger had been at the institute since June 1967.

She was born in Buffalo on September 18, 1871, and was married to Emory S. Kightlinger who died in 1940.  She and her husband lived most of their lives on Hunter Hill, West Mead Township.

Mrs. Kightlinger attended Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Edna) Roha of Meadville and Mrs. Henry (Pearl) Griffith of Pittsburgh; four sons, Lewis E. of Dunkirk, NY, Martin E., John A. and Lawrence F., all of Meadville; eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
