Clarabelle Johnston

Clarabelle Johnston, 100, a resident of United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital since November 1970, widow of Robert Johnston, died Monday, May 28, 1984, after an extended illness.

She was born at Conneautville, May 28, 1884, a daughter of Francis and Penelope Lampson Hewit.  She married Johnston June 21, 1919.  He died August 23, 1933.  Mrs. Johnston was a licensed practical nurse who practiced nursing and did babysitting in the Conneautville area.  She was a 80 year member of Valley Untied Methodist Church, Conneautville, and was a former Sunday School teacher and member of the church governing board.

She is survived by a niece, a nephew and a grand-nephew.

A brother, preceded her in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Conneautville Cemetery.
