Clarence A. Waid

June 7, 1891 — September 3, 1911

Clarence A. Waid, 66, of Blooming Valley, died as a result of an automobile accident that occurred Friday while on his way home from working as a custodian at Allegheny College.

He was born at French Creek, WV, a son of Fred and Cora Armstrong Waid.  He married Maude Hammond, September 3, 1911.  She survives.

He was a farmer and a former custodian for eight years at Randolph-East Mead School.  He attended Lyona Community Church and was a member of New Richmond Grange and New Richmond Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Milford of Blooming Valley, two brothers, Joseph F. of Richmond Township and Earl R. of Black Ash; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held with the Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
