Clarence E. Conrad

Clarence E. Conrad, 52, of Blooming Valley, was dead on arrival at City Hospital Friday morning, August 13, 1971, after suffering an apparent heart attack at work at Allegheny College.

He was born at Meadville on September 27, 1918, a son of Clarence E. and Amber R. Bower Conrad.  He married Mildred Willis in 1943.  Mr. Conrad had been employed by Allegheny College in the maintenance department for the past eight years.  Previous to that he operated Conrad's Grocery Store at Blooming Valley and West Mead 2 volunteer fire department and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors include his widow; three children, Cathleen, Debra and Gary, all at home; two uncles, one aunt and several cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
