Clarence E. Conrad, 62, of Meadville, died at the Erie Railroad Reclamation Plant, Wednesday, September 23, 1959, of a heart attack.
He was born in Frenchtown, June 21, 1897, a son of Edward and Eliza Messerall Conrad. He married Amber Bower, September 7, 1917. He was a hose fitter for the railroad and had been employed by the railroad for about 40 years. He had lived in this community since 1915.
Conrad served in World War I with about a year spent in France as a member of Company B.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Clarence Edward, Jr. of Blooming Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Nageotte of Saegertown, Mrs. Edna Nageotte of Meadville and Mrs. Rena Poole of Illinios; a brother, Leonard of East Mead Township and three grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
