Clarence Eugene Gordon

August 5, 1890 — April 10, 1959

Clarence Eugene Gordon, 68, of Townville, died at Spencer Hospital Friday, April 10, 1959, after an illness of several months.  He had been a patient there about four weeks.

Gordon was born in Butler County, August 5, 1890, a son of John R. and Sophia Gordon.

He was married to the former Anna Jones.  She died August 10, 1956.

Gordon formerly worked at the McCrosky Tool Corp. and retired August 31, 1955, from the American Viscose Corp. where he was production operator in the cellulose-acetate department.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Florence) Thompson of Ripley, NY and Mrs. Albert (Violet) Vatter of Cochranton; five sons, Paul E. of Portville, Clifford C. of Westfield, NY, and Philo L. Clarence, Jr. and Howard C., all of Guys Mills; a brother, Frank Gordon of Farrell; and sixteen grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Townville.
