Clarence F. Peters

Clarence F. Peters, 81, of Meadville, died Friday, January 26, 1968 at City Hospital after an illness of two months.

He was born in Wayne Township, April 10, 1886, a son of Reuben and Louisa Knoll Peters.  His first wife, the former Florence Drake Pattison, whom he married in January 1914, died in May 1960.  He and the former Margaret Baker were married in March 1964.

Mr. Peters was a farmer in Wayne Township for most of his life.  He moved to Meadville in 1959.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ at Deckards Run; of Cochranton Odd Fellows Lodge and of Olympas Encampment of Meadville.

He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Mary Jane) Hepler of Meadville and two grandchildren, Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Sine of Balston Lake, NY and Larry E. Hepler of Lexington, VA.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Peters Cemetery, Venango County.
