Clarence Murdock Johnson, 90, of Ben Avon, former co-owner of Johnson's Auto Service, died at Sewickley Valley Hospital, Sewickley, Tuesday, April 30, 1991, after a lengthy illness. He was formerly of Meadville and Lake Worth, FL.
He was born in Henderson, NC, May 9, 1900, a son of Joseph William and Dora Dodson Duke Johnson. He married Virginia Faulkner, December 29, 1925. She preceded in death March 3, 1980.
He retired in 1955 as the co-owner and operator of Johnson's Auto Service of Meadville. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Barbee) Johnson of Cleveland Heights, Mrs. James (Carolyn) Ross of Attica, NY and Mrs. Clifford (Lonnelle) Sutliff of Pittsburgh; two sons, C. M. (Bo) Johnson of Attica, NY and David Johnson of San Francisco, CA; three sisters, Mary Leach of Meadville, Margaret Peterson of Sheakleyville and Velma Catlin of Ashville, NC; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
