Clarence V. Hoyt, 47, of Guys Mills, died at Spencer Hospital Wednesday, May 4, 1966, following an illness of several months.
He was born in Guys Mills on August 22, 1918, a son of Charles and Alice Hoberson Hoyt. He married the former Genevieve Ellion on July 15, 1938.
Employed for 19 years as a laboratory technician at Talon, Inc., Mr. Hoyt was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the US Army in the European Theater. He also was active in the Randolph VFD before he became ill.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, include two daughters, Mrs. Lee (Alice) Brawley of Meadville and Mrs. Ronald (Bonita) Ackerman of Fairview; a son, Dale at home; his father, Charles of Guys Mills; two sisters, Mrs. Adam (Mildred) Crago and Mrs. Jack (Florence) Lingo, both of Guys Mills; and four grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
