Clark F. Zuck

April 28, 1918 — April 1, 2007

Clark F. Zuck, 88, formerly of Millcreek Township, Erie, Co., and a resident of 722 Albright Drive, Meadville (Wesbury United Methodist Community) since January 1999, died Sunday April 1, 2007 at Meadville Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born in Millcreek Twp., Erie, Co. April 28, 1918, a son of the late Floyd and Orra Garloch Zuck.  He married Aleta Baldwin Dec. 21, 1939 and she preceded him in death Dec. 9, 2006.

Clark was a 1936 graduate of Millcreek High School and 1940 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture.

He was first employed with the family greenhouse business in Millcreek and subsequently he was the owner and operator of Zuck’s Turkey Farm for many years.

He was affiliated with the Religious Society of Friends of Pittsburgh and had been active in the United Methodist Church for many years.  He had been a member of the Board of the South East Erie Mission and the Erie Community Country Day School.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Sally McBain and her husband Kenneth of Madoc, Ontario and Christine Jacobson of Fredonia, NY; 2 sons, Martin Zuck and his wife Joyce of Fairview and Todd Zuck and his wife Tamara of Fairview; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Hayes.

A memorial service for both Clark and Aleta Zuck will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 5, 2007 in McCracken Chapel of Cribbs Home at Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville.  Officiating will be the Rev. Jack Spencer, retired Methodist Clergyman, assisted by the Rev. Ellen Rezek, Chaplain at Wesbury.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Religious Society of Friends, 1501 Cherry St., Philadelphia, PA 19102 or Wesbury Benevolent Fund, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335.
