Clausey L. (Jack) Dailey, 86, of Meadville, retired chief engineer of the City Water Department, died Friday, November 23, 1973, at Crawford County Home, after an illness of several years. He had resided at the home since June 1971. Born in Warren County on October 26, 1887, he was a son of Newton and Viola Rounds Dailey. He was married to the former Oressa Johnson. Dailey was associated with the City of Meadville Water and Light (now Water) Department for 31 years before his retirement on July 1, 1954. He joined the department in 1923 and was named foreman at Waterworks (now Ellsworth) Park in 1925. A member of the First Baptist Church for many years, he served several terms as a trustee during the 1950s. Survivors include is widow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Services Past Services
