Clayton Anderson

March 24, 1928 — December 18, 1992

Clayton (Pete) Anderson, 64, of Livermore St., Meadville, died Friday, December 18, 1992, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, following an extended illness. He was born in Pine Township, Indiana County, March 24, 1928, a son of Thomas and Violet Shultz Anderson. He married Ione Stiles July 7, 1949. She survives. He retired as a truck driver after 40 years of service and was a member of the Teamster Local 348 in Akron, OH. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Carol) Callahan and Mrs. Brian (Waneta) Callahan, both of Meadville; two foster daughters, Mrs. James (Denise) Caperson of Meadville and Mrs. John (Dawna) Hockenberry of Leechburg; three sisters, Marion Gushard of Phoenixville, Nancy Lavanish and Jean Polenick both of Barnesboro; six brothers, James Anderson of Ohio, Richard Anderson of Clymer, Lyle Anderson of Indiana, Art Anderson of Barnesboro, Lynn Anderson of Evensburg, and Kenneth Anderson of Carlisle; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Villers of Open Arms Tabernacle, officiating. Interment was in Greendale Cemetery. Services Past Services
