Clifford R. Hunter, 67, retired Guys Mills rural mail carrier, died suddenly Monday morning at his home in Guys Mills.
He was the son of the late Samuel and Hattie Hanks Hunter and had been a life-long resident of Guys Mills. He was a rural mail carrier in eastern Randolph Township for 31 years, until his retirement about seven years ago. Since his retirement, he had been engaged in farming.
A graduate of Randolph Township schools, he was a member of Guys Mills Congregational Church and the Rural Letter Carriers' Assn.
Surviving are his widow, Anna Cooper Hunter; two sons, Clare of Guys Mills and David of Cleveland; five grandchildren and two brothers, Philo Hunter of Oil City and Fern Hunter of Vernon, TX.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
