Cloyd (Oscar) Snyder, 46, of Meadville, died Saturday, July 7, 1984, at City Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born at Reading, December 9, 1937, a son of Cloyd and Lena Mohr Snyder. He married Sandra Lea Bradley July 26, 1971.
Mr. Snyder was an operator engineer for Utility Constructors Inc., Linesville, and was owner and operator of Snyder's Body Shop and Sandblasting, Kerrtown. He was affiliated with Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Mosiertown, and was a member of Vernon Central VFD and Steelworkers Local 1905.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Ann and Melinda Lee, both at home; a son, Cloyd R. Snyder of Meadville; four sisters, Mrs. Robert (Grace) Simmerman of New Brunswick, NJ, Bernice Snyder of Mt. Holly, NJ, Mrs. Oliver (Ruby) Pelley of Cochranton and Mrs. Glen (Gloria) Coverdell of Clinton, Iowa; four brothers, Dan T. Snyder of Springboro, Charles Snyder of Denver, Terry Snyder of Conneaut Lake and Robert Synder of Saegertown.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Brigid Cemetery.
