Clyde L. Malterer

February 16, 1911 — January 1, 1753

Clyde L. Malterer, 62, of East Liverpool, OH, was dead on arrival at East Liverpool City Hospital Friday, August 3, 1973, after a sudden illness.

He was born at Uhrichsville, OH, February 16, 1911, a son of Rudolph and Nancy West Malterer.  He married Mary Jo Mears in 1939.  Mr. Malterer was employed as an auto body repairman at Johnson Pontiac at Wellsville, OH.  He served as a sergeant in the Air Force in Europe in World War II.  He was a member of Wellsville American Legion Post.  There are many relatives in the Meadville area.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. John (Marjorie) Russell of East Liverpool; a son, John of Steubenville, OH; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Grace) Horton of Wimauma, FL and six grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
