Connie J. George

Mrs. Connie J. George, 29, of Niles, MI, died at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI, Tuesday evening, September 11, 1973, following an illness of several months.  A former Meadville resident, Mrs. George moved to Niles in 1971.

She was born at Ashtabula, OH, on April 20, 1944, a daughter of Harold L. and Dorothy Weaver Powell.  She married Mr. George on October 15, 1966.  Mrs. George was employed as a teller by First National Bank of PA when she lived in Meadville.  She was a member of Penn Line United Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; two children, Kelli Lynne and Keven Wade, both at home; her parents, Harold L. Powell of Geneva, OH and Mrs. Dorothy Powell of Linesville; two sisters, Mrs. Marlan (Sherry) Jones, Jr. of Meadville and Mrs. Paul (Betty) Copeland of Meadville; two brothers, Charles A. Powell of Titusville and James L. Powell of Greenville; her parenal grandparents Clifford N. Powell of Linesville; paternal stepgrandmother, Mrs. Hazel Powell of Linesville; paternal grandfather, George H. Bolte of Jefferson, OH; and maternal grandfather, Charles H. Weaver of Jefferson, OH.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
