Cora E. Jones

Cora E. Jones, 95, who had resided at the Methodist Home for the Aged for the past 18 years, died at the home Thursday, September 23, 1971, after a long illness.  She had been hospitalized for the past nine months.

Mrs. Jones was born in Cambridge Township on June 27, 1876, a daughter of Charles and Amanda Stockton Herrick.  On October 24, 1894, she married Charles H. Jones who died in 1961.

She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and the Beacon of Light Class of the church.

Survivors include a nephew, Hermie Herrick; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Lyle and Martin.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Edinboro Cemetery.
