Cornelius J. "Corn" Deal

Cornelius J. “Corn” Deal, 91 of Stoneboro, passed away on October 22, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. Corn was born in Grove city on May 21, 1931 to the late Raymond and Martha (Mowrey) Deal. He was a graduate of the former Stoneboro High School, class of 1949. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as Military Police. He worked for 35 years as an Engineer for PennDOT in Franklin, retiring in 1990. He was of the protestant faith and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Corn married his beloved wife, Elizabeth Jean (Collins) Deal on September 28, 1956. She survives at home. In addition to his wife Corn is survived by his daughters; Jennifer Leigh (Deal) Peck and husband Gene of Harmony, PA; Barbara Jean (Deal) Curry and companion, Steve Haney of Franklin, PA. Four grandchildren: Cody Becker and wife Crystal of Evans City, PA; Kady Becker and companion, Justin Piotti of Cresson, PA; Daniel Peck and his wife Tiffany of Hookstown, PA; Heather Vultaggio and husband Jason of Canada. Great-grandchildren: Piper Becker; Jett Piotti; DJ Peck; Brenna Peck; Aiden Peck; Kiley Peck; Aubrey Peck; Azaiah Ordich; and Anthony Vultaggio.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved nephews, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Stoneboro & Sandy Lake

Funeral services will be private

Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery
