Craig Melville

Craig Melville, 80, of Meadville, died Thursday, March 16, 1989, at Meadville Care Center following an 18 month illness.

He was born in Elizabeth, September 4, 1908, a son of Oliver and Martha Rue Melville.  He married Elizabeth (Betty) Campbell on June 27, 1936.  She survives.

He was employed as a merchant seaman on the Great Lakes for 35 years.  He attended the Baptist church and was a member of West Mead 2 VFD.

Survivors include his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Katherine) Hackett of Centerville, Grace Roberts of Tallmadge, OH and Martha Elliotte of Titusville and a brother, Donald Melville of Saegertown.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Glenn, John, Arch and Oliver Melville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
