Curtis J. "Iron Man" Moore

Curtis J. Moore, “Iron Man”, 59 of Sandy Lake, passed away on December 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Curt was born on April 6, 1959 in Grove City to James C. Moore and the late Shirley Louise Carey Moore. He was a 1977 graduate of Lakeview High School and a graduate of Penn State Shenango. He worked as a Draftsman for many different companies and most recently for Titusville Fabricators in Franklin. Curt married his beloved wife, Marcia J. King Moore, on July 3, 1993, she survives at home. Curt was an outdoors man, he loved to go hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycle. He loved listening to music with his grandchildren and he loved animals. He was a kind soul and didn’t have a mean bone in his body. He loved spending time with his family and friends and always had great one liners. In addition to his wife and father, Curtis is survived by his step-daughters, Jennifer Leach and husband Michael of Bentleyville, PA, Jamie Chlpka and husband Matt of Hermitage, Step-mother Mary Moore of Sandy Lake, brothers Clint Moore and finace Kelly, Keith Moore, both of Sandy Lake, sister Karen Sturm and husband Jeff of Jefferson, GA, grandchildren Amber and Eric Bell, Samuel Chlpka, and Kerrin Swartz, and nephews Jonathan and Christopher Sturm. Curt was preceded in death by his mother. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of SANDY LAKE, 3236 S. Main St, where family and friends are welcome from 12-3 pm on Sunday, December 23, a time of sharing and remembrance will take place at the funeral home at 3 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on his birthday, April 6, 2019, staring at 3:00 PM, at Curt and Marcia's Residence, please RSVP with Marcia if you would like to attend by March 22 by calling (724) 699-5334 Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
