Cynthia C. (Case) Edwards

Cynthia C. (Cindy) Edwards, 77, of Meadville died Monday, January 4, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh following a short illness.

She was born June 28, 1943 in Erie a daughter of David and Thayer Staley Case.  She married D. Keith Edwards September 2, 2006 and he survives.

She was a 1961 graduate of Meadville High School and the Erie Business School.  She worked as a case worker for the Department of Public Welfare and then as an investigator for the Pennsylvania Office of Inspector General for 24 years retiring in 2003.

She was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon, Elder and Stephens Minister and was involved in several other church activities.  She was also a member of the Meadville Woman’s Club.  She enjoyed knitting and was an avid gardener.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Keith, of 14 years, include: two daughters, Laura Ann Andrews (Harold) of Chardon, OH and Kristen Lenore Pardee of Union City, PA; a step-daughter, Kelly Beth Edwards of Spring City, PA; three grandchildren, Bryan Andrews (Samantha), Jake Pardee and Khloe Pardee; a great grandson, Jackson Andrews; a brother, David E. Case (Margaret) of Aurora, OH and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Andrews.

Calling hours will be Thursday, January 7th from 2-5 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with masking and social distancing following CDC guidelines.

The memorial service will be Friday, January 8th at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty Street, Meadville with Rev. Brian K. Jensen, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
