Cyril F. Lorz

Cyril F. Lorz, 63, of Meadville, died Saturday, May 4, 1996 at Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Meadville, June 17, 1932, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cyril F. Lorz.  He married Nancy Miller on February 14, 1953.  She survives.

He worked for Talon for 25 years retiring as a purchasing agent.  He also worked for Lafeyette Taxi.  He was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church where he was a church usher.  He also was a 1951 graduate of Meadville High School and a 1953 graduate of Erie Business College and was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of Elks Lodge #219.

Survivors in addition to his wife include four daughters, Dr. Cindy Hoge of Trenton, NJ, Susan Bertram of Saegertown, Rebecca Smart of Lafayette, CO and Karen Figel of North Huntington, PA and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Lorz and a sister, Joan Patton.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
