Cyril E. Scott

Cyril E. Scott, 77, of Meadville, was pronounced dead on arrival at Spencer Hospital, Tuesday, January 22, 1979, following an apparent heart attack suffered at his home.

He was born in DuBois, Clearfield County, August 11, 1901, son of Milton D. and Lulu Spears Scott.  He married Hazel Mae Wheeler in July for 1925.

He retired in 1967 as a yard conductor for Erie Lackawanna Railroad after 25 years of service.  He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (JoAnne) Crosley and Mrs. Joellen Elliott, both of Jacksonville, FL and Mrs. Carl (Jolene) Peterson of Meadville; a son, Robert M. Scott of Meadville; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Cogley of Niles, OH, Mrs. George (Margaret) Munnings of Toronto, Ontario and Mrs. Leona Shannon of Butler; two brothers, Carl Scott of Los Angeles and Russell Scott of Brookfield, OH and five granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald in 1955.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
