D. Maxine Messerall, 87, formerly of 571 Chestnut St., Meadville and a current resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, died there Friday, February 18, 2005.
She was born in Oil City August 2, 1917, a daughter of the late Floyd and Lotus Anderhalt Messerall.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School and had attended Moody Bible Institute. She worked at Talon for 8 years and subsequently worked at the former American Viscose for 33 years, retiring in 1982 as a laboratory analyst.
She was a member of the Meadville Alliance Church and was a former Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include three brothers, Hudson (Huck) Messerall and his wife Jane of Arlington Heights, IL; Elwin F. (Alec) Messerall and his wife Peg of Meadville; and Paul Messerall of Indianapolis, IN; and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
A funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Conley, Pastor of Meadville Alliance Church, officiating, and the Rev. Douglas Messerall, nephew, assisting.
Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
