Daisy Cox Hamilton

Mrs. Daisy Cox Hamilton, 82, formerly of Meadville, died at San Diego, CA, Friday, May 14, 1965, after a short illness.  She lived at Embassy Club, San Diego Hotel, San Diego.

She was born at Mooresville, IN, October 22, 1882, and was married to George E. Hamilton, former president of Keystone View Co. He died May 15, 1962.  He was a former state Democratic committeeman.

She was active in Christ Episcopal Church, Meadville; Meadville Women's Club and was a leader in local Democratic political circles.  She was a member of Ladies Advisory Committee at City Hospital and Iroquois Boating and Fishing Club.

Surviving are a son, Dr. George S. Hamilton of Poway, CA; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. James C. Hamilton and Mrs. Robert C. Hamilton of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Lieuetta Russell of Durham, NC; a niece in San Diego; a nephew in Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
