Dale F. Winans, Jr.

Dale F. Winans, Jr., 48, of Meadville died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Marquette Hospice House following a battle with cancer.

He was born in Meadville August 22, 1968 a son of Dale F. and Linda L. Dickson Winans, Sr.  He was a graduate of Bernice High School, Bernice, LA.  He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving from 1987-1990 and was stationed in California, Texas and Okinawa, Japan.  Following his discharge from the Marine Corps he worked security in California first for Boeing Corp. and then for Allergan Corp.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Penguin and NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Winans of Meadville; his brother, Andrew Winans and his wife Deanna of Meadville; two aunts, Mary Lou Waid and Kathy Winans both of Meadville; two uncles, Lawrence Winans of Ohio and Shane Winans of Meadville; a niece, Cassidy and several cousins.

In addition to his father and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Winans and two uncles, Craig Winans and David Waid.

Services will be private.
