Dale M. Stahlman, 96, formerly of Meadville and Mercer, PA and a resident of Ft. Myers, FL for the last several years died Monday, February 18, 2008 at Calusa Harbour Health Care Center, Ft. Myers.
He was born in Frogtown, PA the son of the late Charles and Florence Stahlman.
Dale retired after 45 years with Layne-New York Company as General Field Superintendent. He was an avid water skier, skilled bulldozer operator, successful realtor in Pennsylvania and Florida and an accomplished horseman.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lois in 1989, two brothers, Darrel and Persh and two sisters, Anna Catherine and Lucille.
He is survived by his wife Winniferd, his son, Gardner of Bradenton, FL, his daughter, Karen Fassinger of Lower Burrell, PA, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at noon with the Rev. Gerald Walton, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
