Dale O. Beatty

Dale O. Beatty, 74, of Saegertown, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 26, 1942 in Commodore, PA, a son of Albert L. and June Mumau Beatty.  He married Janet Potcher September 15, 1993 and she survives.

Dale was a 1960 graduate of Saegertown High School.  He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964 stationed in Lockland, TX, Chanute, IL, and Wurtsmith, MI.

Dale was employed at Avtex, Penelec, and Andover Industries.

Survivors include his loving wife Janet; a daughter, Kimberly Shay and her husband Daniel of Meadville; a grandson, Tanner Shay of Meadville; six sisters, Dolores Henry and her husband Donald of Cambridge Springs, Lenora Anthony and her husband Carl of Cochranton, Ruthann Dooley and her husband Richard of Meadville, Sarah Corliss of Saegertown, Laura Beatty of Meadville; and Beverly Ridenauer of Geneva, FL; two brothers, Allen Beatty and his wife Marilyn of Greenville and James Beatty and his wife Martha of Terre Haute, IN; his canine daughter, Brianna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Beatty and a brother-in-law, Darwin Ridenauer.

A private graveside service will be at Saegertown cemetery with interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Rd. or Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., both of Meadville, PA 16335.
