Dana Eileen Bushnell, PhD, 44, formerly of Greytown Hills Road, Cambridge Springs, PA and a resident of Beverly Health Care-Cambridge Springs for the past few years, died there, Saturday, September 13, 2003.
She was born November 8, 1958 in Los Angeles, CA a daughter of William Eugene and Margaret Dorsey Bushnell. She married Brian P. Holtsclaw in the spring of 1986 in New Orleans and he preceded her in death October 8, 2002.
She was a Professor in the Philosophy Department of Edinboro University, Edinboro, PA for several years beginning in 1992. During her educational years at Tulane University she worked as a cook on an offshore supply ship based out of southeast Louisiana. She received her undergraduate, Masters and PhD in Philosophy from Tulane University, New Orleans in 1991.
Survivors, include three brothers, Robert Eugene Bushnell of Washington, DC, Michael Bushnell of New Orleans, LA and Paul Edward Bushnell of New Orleans, LA; 3 aunts, 7 nieces and nephews and 12 cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey A. Bushnell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at St. Marks Roman Catholic Church, Catonsville, MD.
Burial will be in New Cathedral Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA.
