Dana Herbert Heckendorf

Dana Herbert Heckendorf, 78, of Espyville, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 at UPMC Hamot, Erie.

He was born July 22, 1944 in Cleveland, OH, a son of Herbert and Rosina Isele Heckendorf. . He married Margaret Govina on March 11, 1988.

Dana was a self-employed Tool and Die maker for 20 years.  He was the Code Enforcement Officer for North Shenango Township and he was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, two children, Robert Heckendorf of Atlanta, GA and Dana Lee Kalina of Orange, CT; two step-sons, Michael Thomas Putnam (Laura) of Andover, MA and Matthew John Putnam (Maria) of Espyville; two brothers, Amos Heckendorf of Massachusetts and Michael Heckendorf of Woodstock, CT; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; one great grandchild; one step great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Dana’s wishes, there will no services scheduled.

The arrangements have been entrusted to WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE ROAD, CONNEAUT LAKE.
