Dane E. Miller

Dane E. Miller, 59, of Meadville died Friday, June 22, 2018 at Arista Care @ Park Avenue, Meadville following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Somerset, PA January 19, 1959 a son of John R. and Carolyn Holsopple Miller, Jr.

He was a 1977 graduate of Meadville High School and worked as a diver in the marine construction industry in Florida for several years.  He then returned to Meadville where he worked for Coca-Cola Bottling.  He also worked for Burns Company and most recently for American First Aid.

He was a member of First Christian Church.  He loved all animals, enjoyed boating on Kinzua Lake, kayaking and snow skiing.  He always enjoyed sitting in the outdoors around a good campfire.  He was best known for his sense of humor and was always the life of the party.

He is survived by a son, Justin D. Miller and his wife Jessica who is stationed in the US Navy and their daughters, Lola and Ruby Miller; a daughter, Nicole Miller Morrison and her husband Edward also stationed in the US Navy; his companion, Doreen Jordan of Meadville; his parents, John and Carolyn Miller of Meadville; a sister, Joyce Swanson and her husband Steve of Guilderland, NY; a niece, Jenna Haggerty and her husband Dan and a nephew, Erik Swanson and his wife Stephanie.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 26th from 6-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The memorial service will be Wednesday, June 27th at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, 503 N. Main Street, Meadville with Rev. Jim Gibson, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
