Daniel A. Procner, 68, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 following a short illness.
He was born November 17, 1947 in Grove City, a son of Adolph and Elizabeth June DeWalt Procner.
Danny was a graduate of Lakeview High School. He retired from the Meadville Forging Company and had previously worked at Westinghouse in Transfer. He had served in the Army reserves.
Danny was a member of Vernon Central VFD, was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing, cooking, and flower gardening, and especially loved spending time with his family and was known to his grandchildren as GranDan.
Survivors include a daughter, Laurel Yeager of Tennessee; two sons, Cole Perrine of California and Scott Stephens of Colorado; five grandchildren, Raven Vanderveen of Meadville, Olivia Vanderveen of Tennessee, Logan Yeager of Meadville, and Anthony and Marilyn Stephens of Colorado; two sisters, Cynthia Frye and her husband Keith of Meadville and Nancy Jo Setta and her husband Michael of Meadville; a brother, J. Stephen Procner of Meadville; and four nieces and nephews, Lynn Zuccaro, Brian Setta, Amy DeLeon, and Jonathan Frye.
A private family viewing will be held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
