Daniel Cowatch

Daniel Cowatch, 64 of Sandy Lake, passed away on May 13, 2022 at UPMC Hamot. Dan was born in Butler on December 17, 1957 to the late George and Dorothy (Richardson) Cowatch. He was a graduate of Union High School in Rimersburg, PA and went on to earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Chemistry, History, and Geology from Thiel College. He worked as the Vice President and Manager of Impact Marketing Systems.

Daniel adored his family and enjoyed spending time with his son and always taking an interest in his activities. He coached him in tee-ball and was a cub scout and boy scout leader. He also enjoyed gardening and birdwatching. He had the opportunity to travel all over the world for work and enjoyed it but always missed being away from his family.

Daniel married his beloved wife, Tammie Twigg Cowatch on December 2, 1993, she survives at home. Also surviving is his son, Tristan, of Sandy Lake, mother-in-law Grace McFall of Volant, step-mother-in-law Janet Twigg of New Wilmington, siblings-in-law Larry (Patti) Twigg, Pam Coast, Tom (Josie) Twigg, and Becky Twigg, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his brother, George, and father-in-law Lawrence Twigg.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, 3236 S. Main Street, SANDY LAKE, where family and friends are welcome from 5 pm – 7 pm on Tuesday, May 17. A funeral service will follow visitation at 7 pm with the Rev. Virginia LaVan-Gadsby, officiating.
