Daniel L. Scott, 64, of Conneaut Lake passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 as a result of a farming accident. He was born in Meadville July 25, 1952 a son of Junior and Mabel Scott. He married Barbara Urquhart May 3, 1975 and she survives.
He was a 1970 graduate of Meadville High School and worked for 30 years as an electrician at Seco/Warwick Corp. He was currently employed for the past 14 years at SCI Albion as a maintenance repairman.
He was always very friendly, enjoying visiting with friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed being a farmer, cutting wood, making hay and working on his tractor. He could also be found watching a good kung fu or western movie. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, whether fishing with his grandchildren, visiting with his daughter in Saegertown or traveling to Florida to visit his daughter and family where he could be found riding bikes and fishing with his grandson, Aiden.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Barbara of 41 years include: two daughters, Lori Scott-Clausen and her husband Devon of Saegertown and Jean Clark and her husband John of Fleming Island, FL; four grandchildren, Brandon Moore and his girlfriend Katie Walter, Jared Kula, Theama Scott and Aiden Clark; two great grandchildren, Ryan Moore and Daniel Moore; a sister, Vickie Knapp and her husband Dan of Conneaut Lake and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Scott and Susan Radicella.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville and Saturday from 10 – 11 a.m. at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Road Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Temple Jarrell, officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Dan Scott Memorial Fund, c/o One Federal Credit Union, 300 Arch Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
