Darla M. Kindervater

Darla M. Kindervater, 68, of Meadville, died at home, Saturday, February 19, 2011.

She was born in Meadville, January 11, 1943 a daughter of Charles and Letha Dailey Brant.  She married James L. Kindervater September 10, 1960 and he survives.

She was a 1960 graduate of Saegertown High School and was an active member and former pianist of Pleasantview Alliance Church.  She was very involved in the church's missionary work and centered her life around God.  She also worked for 15 years as a tax preparer with H & R Block.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 40 years, include: three children, Beverly Taylor and her husband Richard of Meadville, David Kindervater and his wife Evangeline of Tokyo, Japan and Carol Kennedy and her husband Charles of Guys Mills; her parents, Charles and Letha Brant of Saegertown; a sister, Carole Foulk and her husband Jerry of Longview, TX; a foster sister, Lynne Kline and her husband Calvin of Guys Mills; nine grandchildren, one great granddaughter, one nieces and one nephew.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral and committal service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pleasantview Alliance Church, 16223 State Hwy 86, Saegertown with Rev. Russell Huizing, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Pleasantview Alliance Church Missions, 16223 State Hwy 86, Saegertown, PA 16433.
