Darwin L. Miller

Darwin L. Miller, 68, of 16060 Williams Rd., Meadville, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie as a result of complications from a fall at his residence.

He was born in Meadville March 11, 1941, a son of the late Ralph H. and Anna Grinnell Miller.  He married Maryln Shellenberger November 14, 1964.

Darwin was a 1959 graduate of the former Meadville Vocational Technical School.  A gifted mechanic, he retired as service manager from Weber Harris Ford, Meadville.  He enjoyed golfing, NASCAR and Indy Car races, classic cars, driving stock cars, and especially loved his family and grandchildren.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Maryln of 45 years, include a daughter, Tina Garver and her husband Allen of Edinboro; a sister, Alma Foulk and her husband John of Meadville; his twin brother, David P. Miller (retired funeral director) and his wife Jan of Meadville; 5 grandchildren, Kayla, Aaron, Anna, Jillian, and Gabriel Newhard; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ray Martinez, Pastor of Living Waters Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
